Locking Guard Switch 'Spartan', 1200N Force

The Spartan is a small tongue operated interlocking safety switch which locks the guard closed until machine power is isolated and ensures it remains isolated whilst the guard is open. Designed with two entry slots and a rotating head to give four actuator entry positions, a blanking plug is also provided for the unused slot. The guard may only be opened when a signal is applied to the internal solenoid, which releases the
locking mechanism, however in the event of a total power failure, an
emergency override key is available as a optional extra, Note: the key
should only be available to authorised personnel. The Spartan is ideal for machines which do not stop immediately or when premature interruption of the machine could cause damage. A catch kit with actuator alignment is supplied to relieve stress on the locking solenoid and to protect the
unit from actuator damage due to poor guard alignment. The Spartan is
available with 2 N/C safety contacts and 1 N/O auxiliary contact in 3 different voltages.
